Painting Pressure Treated Wood

ACQ Pressure treated wood can be painted if it is clean and dry.  The problem is that most pressure treated wood is sold wet.  It may take up to 90 days for the wood to completely dry out.  Always use an exterior 100% acrylic latex house paint for the top coat with latex primer for the best results.  Check the label of the paint can to make sure it is recommended for wood.  Do not use an oil based paint.
